Ashley Gott was appointed Williamson County Treasurer in 2019 and elected in 2020 and 2022 following a 20-year career in the banking industry. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Finance from Southern Illinois University Carbondale and has dedicated his career to public finance, fiscal responsibility, and community service. 

Gott served as President of the Illinois County Treasurers' Association (ICTA) during the 2024–2025 term and was honored as the 2025 Illinois County Treasurer of the Year. 

In addition to his work in county government, Gott has been an active leader in his community. He served two terms as President of his local Chamber of Commerce in 2015 and 2020 and has been a commissioner for his local Park District since 2005. Throughout his career, he has remained committed to civic engagement by serving on numerous local and statewide boards, committees, and community organizations.
